Good article on why they should not bailout the banks.

Thoughtful advocates of the bailout might concede this perspective,
but they argue that a bailout is necessary to prevent economic
collapse. According to this view, lenders are not making loans, even
for worthy projects, because they cannot get capital. This view has a
grain of truth; if the bailout does not occur, more bankruptcies are
possible and credit conditions may worsen for a time.

Talk of
Armageddon, however, is ridiculous scare-mongering. If financial
institutions cannot make productive loans, a profit opportunity exists
for someone else. This might not happen instantly, but it will happen.

Further, the current credit freeze is likely due to Wall Street’s hope
of a bailout; bankers will not sell their lousy assets for 20 cents on
the dollar if the government might pay 30, 50, or 80 cents.

Hockey player descriptions in the beer leagues:

• The Ringer – Some teams wait until the playoffs to
  unveil this option. Others go with it right from the opening face-off.
  Either way, without a ringer, your team is done. The challenge for
  managers is convincing a good player to suit up for a bad side. This
  can be accomplished a number of ways, including promises of
  goal-scoring glory and awe-inspired teammates. Most effective, however,
  is let him play for free. It’s simple math, really. Everyone else pays
  an extra $50 and everyone else gets a shot at the “DD” Division title.
• The Tardy Goalie – Hey, thanks for showing up. Only
  five minutes gone in the first. Not like you play a crucial position or
  anything. Take your time, dickhead.
• The Young Guy – At first glance, he can easily be
  mistaken for a ringer, since the young guy still wears the shorts and
  socks of his junior or college team. But it’s time for the next phase
  of life now, and that means an office job. The young guy stays in shape
  for the first half of the year. Sadly, an increasingly sedentary
  existence and late night partying catches up to him by Christmas. 15 to
  20 pounds later, he’s just another player, huffing and puffing with the
  rest. Welcome aboard, kid.
• The Old Guy – Forget the 50-and-over league;
  that’s not for him…even though his gloves reach up to his armpits, and
  he still uses a wood stick. To be fair, the old guy can be an effective
  player, especially if he’s a wily old guy — a hook here and a chop
  there, because that’s how they did it when professional athletes were
  real men. “Eddie Shore — now there was a hockey player! Lost an ear
  against the Maroons. Sewed it back on himself. Never missed a shift.”
• The Naked Guy – Bane of the dressing room. Most
  players have the courtesy to stretch their hamstrings while sporting,
  at the very least, a bit of underwear. Not the naked guy. He’ll carry
  on full conversations, and you had better maintain eye contact like
  your life depended on it….or come face to face with the swinging
  sausage.

All one can say is WTF.  I don’t care if you find cancer, wake me the fuck up and ask before you cut off my penis! I want to see at least 10 other doctors that have the opionion that it has to be amputated.  Then you would want a few weeks to try to get as much use out of it as possible and time to decide if death is better than no penis.

Free, Legal and Online: Why Hulu Is the New Way to Watch TV

I lived on Hulu last year and I still watch it even though I have cable TV again. Which I have been very close to canceling cable again, have to go and get my bill fixed yet again this month. Comcast service sucks!

I am on month 3 of improper charging for my cable. For some reason they also charge me as much for a dvr as they do for a 2nd cable card to get my tivo to work. The bill me 2 times for my internet. I am thinking I should just take my voip phone and cancel its service and that they better have my home bill fixed for next month or else I am taking and turning off my cable tv cards. Then I will order verzion dsl and take in my cable modem and tell them to shove that up their ass too.

It took me 2 service calls to get my equipment installed the first time. Which they didn’t have all my cable channels set up so that took 2hrs on the phone for them to get that set up. It took 2 weeks to get my voip login set up and working to change any options on my phone. Their stupid piece of shit dvr I replace with a new tivo took a service call which they only got one tuner to work. Then I spent 3 days and approximately 4 hrs trying to get my second tuner working just to get charged for the second tuner the amount of a complete dvr from them.

The www.comcast.com looks like a 2 year old designed it. I have to close my brower each time i look at a different bill. Why do I have to wait 30 days before I see the changes to my billing?

Where does all the money I spend on this crap go?

I love how inept every company is anymore. Timewarner took me forever to get them to cancel my cable modem service. My parents have problems with cox communications.

UPDATE:

Looks like they finally got one of the monthly charges off my bill but they never removed the charge from the previous month.  Now I have to go back yet again.

She kept the money anyway and favors funding Don Young’s Way, at twice the cost of the original bridge.

- She has lied about her firing of the town librarian and police chief of Wasilla, Alaska.

- She has lied about pressure on Alaska’s public safety commissioner to fire her ex-brother-in-law.

- She has lied about her previous statements on climate change.

- She has lied about Alaska’s contribution to America’s oil and gas production.

- She has lied about when she asked her daughters for their permission for her to run for vice-president.

- She has lied about the actual progress in constructing a natural gas pipeline from Alaska.

- She has lied about Obama’s position on habeas corpus.

- She has lied about her alleged tolerance of homosexuality.

- She has lied about the use or non-use of a TelePrompter at the St Paul convention.

- She has lied about her alleged pay-cut as mayor of Wasilla.

- She has lied about what Alaska’s state scientists concluded about the health of the polar bear population in Alaska.

You cannot trust a word she says. On anything.
